Make a Vision Board !

You are not sure how to make a vision board?

• One that actually works?
• One that helps you manifest your dreams, your visions?
• One that will speed up the process of achieving your goals?

Do you wonder what to put on such a board that your dreams come to life?

This is really easy. Simply put anything on it which reminds you of your dream, of your vision. Making a vision board is an anchor to continuously reminding you of your vision, your goal. It is important that you place it somewhere where you constantly see it – consciously and also subconsciously. It is the constant input and the emotions it creates in you that will “create” and draw your vision into life.

If your big dream is to retire early on a residual income then make a graphic of your network marketing organisation and put it up. Put in the pictures of the key people you already have in place – if you are just starting, make precise descriptions of the people you want to attract. You will be surprised how it works!

• There may be some vision boards which get a bit crammed at times. It may be an idea to clear yours up once in a while and structure it so that you have your priorities set well.
• Making a vision board is a personal experience – you need to work with it and amend it as you grow as a person. Have your priorities there, so that the goals are clear and obvious, and add some details that might be important for the “journey” to get there. Don’t put several layers of information on – only what you can see straight on.
• As an alternative you might be making one board per goal, especially if the goals are very different from each other and not leading to one end. Which ever way you choose to go – make sure it makes you feel good and you have fun preparing them.

Making a vision board is a very effective and useful tool to achieve your dreams your goals – not only for having success at building your network marketing business today, but for for every other business and personal venture too. Use this tool for your success!

Are you feeling your success is as far away as the stars – you can barely see it with a telescope?

Let’s sum up a few points which you will find in more detail in some other posts on my blog.

It is a very frequent situation that  people are having a hard time helping themselves, even though they might be good at giving advice to others.

What does this imply – if you belong to that category you are constantly having your focus on others and not on what matters to you. You don’t give yourself credit by looking at yourself and actually asking yourself:

“what do I want from life” “where do I want to go” “what are my dreams and my goals”?

It might be an idea that you sit down and delve deep down to yourself to find out if you have an issue of self worth – that perhaps you feel you don’t deserve abundance in life! If there is a likelihood that you are suffering of lack of self worth you can work as hard as you please you will never really make it or if you do you will not be content as you will still believe that you are “not there yet”. You may end up a “driven” personality, who is constantly searching and running!

Let this be your first and foremost quest: Am I giving myself credit and do I have self worth, a feeling that I deserve all the good there can be in my life?

You may want support with this issues. It happens very often that we have become masters at hiding such issues from ourselves. There is this Forum where you can go and simply read and study what others have to say in this context, or you can  register and participate. It may change your view of yourself and propel you on the road of personal growth and allowing abundance in your life.

There are only 5 steps – but still there is much to know about them – and it is only the tip of the “ice-berg”

4. Sponsoring.

“Sponsoring” – it’s always good once in a while to go into the dictionary and check out a word – even if we think we  know it’s exact meaning. “Support, help” -  that’s why  I take that word differently than most people.

I have YOUR success at heart!

When I sponsor you, I am your sponsor for life. I’m 61 years young and in 40 years or so, I’ll be going to your funeral, or you’ll be going to mine.  You and I will be in business for the rest of our lives.

You need to choose the people you want to be in business with!  My upline mentor keeps saying, "Only sponsor people that you’d want to go on a 1-month cruise with." This is so crucial – choose your business partners for life well. I said the other day – “choose a company with as much care as if you were choosing a spouse. Very much the same applies to your business partner!

5. Training.

The sheer fact that formal education is missing for network marketing it is still an absolute necessity to teach, train, coach and mentor you bring in so that they have the best possible knowledge on how to do network marketing today!

A team website and a step-by-step action plan come in handy as you have got  to train them. Most people need  a reference where they can update what they have heard and repeat it again and again.

To build a network marketing business successfully to day you need the skills which will let you do so. It will not help you to study your product details.Most people don’t want to be sold anyways.

Instead “study people”. Learn to apply the personality colours. Learn how to listen to people – never forget we have two ears and only one mouth! These are the skills that help you move on in business so that you will reach your dreams.

You teach them to deal with their prospects as you have just dealt with them and the cycle repeats itself.

It is like a ring: Step 1 flows smoothly into Step 2. Step 2 into Step 3. Step 3 into Step 4. Step 4 into Step 5. And step 5 into Step 1.  There is no edge and no end.

There is nothing to hinder the prospect in moving forward. Keep working on yourself and help them to do the same.

To be long-term successful, you need to have such a smooth marketing system for your business.  I love the one I use because it is complete and offers total training in the skills of working with people. Everyone can get better and better‚

When everyone is using the same system it is much easier for you to help them -  you increase your experience, so do they,  and the cycles moves up and up, creating success in network marketing today for all who co-operate.

Why Commitment?

No matter where we are or what we do in life we are bound to be meeting up with some obstacles.

The topic which needs to be ventilated is the relationship between a vision and commitment.

A vision in life is the driving force in life. It can be strong and compelling and it can be vague.

Most people start working towards their vision at some stage in their lives, however only those who make a full commitment to go for it will eventually achieve their dreams.

Let me give you an example. Bill has a normal job. He is ok with his work and he and his family can pay their bills. As far as extras are concerned, like having a nice holiday somewhere, a better school for their children they have to compromise. Their decision in a way was conditioned by the programming they had received  from home. The make themselves subconsciously believe that all is well and they are content – and it is ok.

But there is Bills friend, Josh. He has a similar background as Bill, but somehow all his life he had a vision. A vision of freedom, spending time with his family, following his favourite hobby and making nice trips to get to know the world. He  also works  and gets bye with his family, but he is at the same time looking round as to finding a “vehicle” which would permit him to achieve his dream.

And this is it – Josh is the kind of person who will be an ideal prospect for a network marketing business. He will be ready to learn and do all he is taught and he will be in it with commitment. This commitment to success will help him over hard times  when people will criticize him or make fun of him for what he is doing. He won’t mind, he will have his vision before him and his commitment to reach his dreams.

Today I want to tell you a story which some of you will already know.

It is the story of the Frogs’ Competition.

There was a day when a bunch of frogs decided to enter a competition of who would be able to climb a high tower first.

Soon many watchers were around and bets were made and of course people started to comment.

They said things like “this is impossible, it is far to high a tower for a frog to climb, no one has the strength to reach that end, the tower is much too slippery to be climbed,….”

One after the other the frogs gave up and in the end there was only one frog left who climbed and climbed and climbed – it was obvious that it took him a lot of effort, but he continued nevertheless and in the end reached the top of the tower and so won the competition.

Of course everybody was curious how this was possible as the frog didn’t seem to be the biggest or strongest of the frogs who went into the competition. When he was interviewed it turned out that he was deaf.

This allegory clearly demonstrates, that is makes no sense to listen to dream thieves  or other negative people who want to impose their negative attitude or even attitude of failure.

When building a network marketing business it for sure happens all the time. Everybody around you will know it all and know it better and will do all so that you will give up. Your success is not wanted by the observers – it gives them the bad feeling of minority!

Therefore make sure that you close your ears to all those negative inputs, mix with positive and like minded people and do your positive self development work. That immunises you against negative crap.

We are so used to being immersed in all the news and information  brainwash on how bad the economy is, germs circling around and lots of other negative crap    which  is spread everywhere. We don’t even realise that our thought pattern has adapted to it way back. We tend to tune into the negative chatter when we meet up with people or discuss the present situation wherever opportunity arises.  What we need to become aware of, however, this does not serve us in manifesting our dreams. Is not a good use of energy. It is a huge handicap when you want to “own your life”.

Such actions have to be be dismissed from our thoughts and from our lives to make room for our creative connection with universe.

We think in pictures. Look at the coy carps on the left. They are luck tokens in some parts of the world. When you will give them second thoughts after having left this blog you will not recite a text on coy carps in your mind you have read on Wikipedia  – no, this picture will appear in your mind’s eye – you will see them!

You for sure know that some thoughts and behaviors hold you back, are obstacles on your path of life. May be you health is not as good as it could be due to your lousy lifestyle, or you have forgotten your imagination and replaced it with the negative crap you keep hearing. 

If your reflection continuously wanders backwards and you are stuck in wondering why this or that happened in your life  your mental energy is wasted as your past is history and you cannot change it. It is in thought, as it is in the outward world: You can go either right or left – you cannot go right and left. You can walk up a hill or down a hill, but you cannot walk up and down at the same time. So when you thoughts are trapped by the past you cannot create your future at the same time.

The same of course applies to your business/home business – when you keep wondering why this or that doesn’t work out or why you again and again failed to sponsor a new partner into your network marketing team  -  again – your energy is trapped by these thoughts and your creativity is blocked which can show you the way forward.

You need to change this habit. You need to focus on what you want. You need to give yourself a holy promise to “think forward” to reach your goals. Very likely you are tuned to be a person who keeps a promise. By linking the achieving of your goal with a promise to yourself the focus on your goal will become much clearer. To make it a step more specific give this promise to someone who you are accountable to in this respect. Put your promise in writing to make it tangible.

Such a promise will take your life, your focus and your results to the next level. It will propel you forward.
“You create the freedom of manifesting your dreams by stopping the habit of turning back to the old, negative conditions you are trying to get rid of” – this is what I have read recently!

Keeping your thoughts clean certainly takes commitment and repetitive practice, but it is definitely worth while.

It will be the way to take your life and business to the level you don’t even dare to dream yet. Be invited to dream. Be invited to dream big!

We have been talking about goals – a lot in fact – so why now talk about your dream?  Your dream is an expression of the soul of life of your nature.

Years back when I first met up with someone who asked me about my dreams I was a bit put out as I had left my dreams behind me like so many. Passing through the educational system with its attitude of rationalism and the request that knowledge has to be acquired at any cost, had step by step and thoroughly eliminated the dreams. Not that I was aware of it as no one ever talked about them apart from dreaming during sleep and even talking about that was not too popular in those days.

The friend who had alerted me to think about my dreams obviously had encountered many people like me who had lost their dreams altogether. He started to coach me carefully, asked me what I had wished for as a small child and in my early years at school and even then I found it hard to connect. I met other people in groups who talked about their dreams and how important they are in life and so slowly I dared to risk a thought and another one and I used my so well trained rational mind to go that way and imagine. It was a start, yet I realised that something was missing. For me my dreams at that stage were a list of ideas which appealed to me as being nice, but they didn’t impact me enough to get me going after them. When discussing the topic with like minded people I even encountered another obstacle. They kept talking about following the dreams with passion as that would make them real and tangible. Wow – what a challenge – where do you get passion from when you have lost it as a result of the conditioning you have received for years and years…

Does this situation perhaps ring a bell in you? Do you feel odd, to say the least, when somebody asks you what your dreams are? Today the topic of dreaming, of creating your vision, of working on the dreams, the vision has become a lot more popular and more and more people are at least in theory aware of this concept. There are workshops available and teams who dedicate time to this kind of work and also in good business trainings the dream and the vision have found space.

If you are new  to this kind of work I strongly suggest you get yourself a pin board which you make your dream/vision board – you can start off with small things which come to your mind which you might want or do  and which at the moment have no room in your life and as you keep looking at the board you will step by step develop an  interest and a liking for adding ideas or even change some until at some stage you will realise that you have developed a relationship with your dreams and that you actually draw them into life through your imagination, later in your thoughts, your planning. And then one or the other of the dreams on your vision board will manifest in life and  now, if it did not happen before, you can also connect with the passion you are supposed to have for your dreams.

A lot has been written on this subject,  how to achieve your goals. At first sight it seems simple, yet once you start working with people you are in for a big surprise.

When I first started to talk to people I naively asked them about their goals and found in many cases a total blank. Goals? What’s that, should I have some, I thought this is about football and many other surprising replies. It is surprising how many people get depleted by life and their surroundings that they forget it all, as children usually know very well what they want in life and from life.

So the first step needs to be to open up a perception for this kind of approach. A conversation about dreams or what they might do if money was no issue in life as a rules creates a willingness to start thinking about this topic. This is an intermediate goal in itself. A first step of bringing someone back to life! With increasing willingness vision or dream workshops are a good way to proceed.

Part of this process is creating the awareness that “loving oneself” is not an expression of ego, but a necessity and basis for a fulfilled life as well as a foundation of being prepared to work on goals and eventually set them and go for them.

An excellent support in this process is the book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill which was already written in 1937, yet which is very useful reading and learning even today. Napoleon Hill gives very precise instructions as to how to proceed with personal development, setting of goals and much more.

Although I have been doing a lot about personal development for years I find that working through this book within a mastermind group is a challenge and opens yet other perspectives and doors.  In fact Napoleon Hill talks and explains a lot about the value of a mastermind group and it is fascinating to see it happen in practice.

Once the goals are set and charged in the right way drawing them to life is a natural consequence. It can be compared to building a house – if the planning is perfect the actual building is work, but the outcome is set.
