Is this  provocation?

No!    You need to listen! image             

This is the first rule in network marketing today!

Our loud and media dominated world listening to another person  has been lost or nearly lost.

People are lonely even in a crowd – nobody is interested any more  to listen to the joys and sorrows of another person – they are far to busy rushing through life catching – what? Mostly they don’t even know what they are after. Everyday life is eating them up.

Make a difference. Look someone in the eye and listen to what they have to say – listen without adding anything in your thought or without interfering. Listen till they have finished. They might go a totally different trail in their expression than you would have expected.

Having been honoured in such a way they will automatically want to know about you.

This kind of heart to heart communication is the foundation for trust and friendship.

Listening without an agenda and then proceeding to the advantage of the one who has confided in you – again without an agenda will set you off as a leader of a special kind.

You will grow as a person and you will build friendships and  business partners who are friends and who will stick with you anyways.

Make it an extraordinary trip. It is worth it. Be the leader you are intended to be.

 Mistakes? This sounds terrible!

You will meet up with it again and again that some  heavy hitters tell their downlines that they definitely need to change. They  tell these newbies to get out and moving to sell the product.

This statement in itself needs to make you alert. Network marketing to day certainly is no selling business. It is  business of “building people”

We tell you that YOU are perfect as you are. Everybody is perfect in their own way. There is no need to change and become a sales person! It wouldn’t make sense, especially when you know that ninety-two percent of all people absolutely dislike these aggressive and pushy sales people.

  • Shopping has become an outing. People wander through malls, look and check what they can find, sometimes even take several visits to various places until they make up their mind. They definitely want to “buy” and not be sold. So why on earth should you want to become a pushy sales person?
  • Now the story is totally different when you need some information. when you need someone who is knowledgeable about the thing you want to buy. May be you want to buy a camcorder or a new TV and you want to know all the different features. In such a case it may well happen that in a mall you are looking in vain for a person who will be able to give you a professional reply or even a recommendation as to what to get best.

Recommendation is one of the magic words in network marketing today. It is not “go out and sell” as some of those heavy hitter type leaders proclaim, but recommend. You have been doing this all your life anyways – from early childhood onwards. So with some additional skills at communication and  some personal growth you will be able to pickup a check for what you have been doing all your life.

Fortunately the number of leaders is small who proclaim selling as well as making a list of family and friends to persuade them to join you in your network marketing business. These approaches don’t work. Someone who is not a sales person will not become one and family members are very poor prospects.

Instead look out for a system that helps you create a steady stream of prospects who are wanting to talk with you, who will be happy to get trained and supported.

Once you have created success in your network marketing business then friends and family will suddenly come round and perhaps even applaud you and tell others that they had always known you were meant for something better. Some may even join you in your network marketing business at that stage hoping that they will also be supported to achieve success as yours. What a joke!

Don’t listen to the wrong kind of advice! You are perfect the way you are!

Vision and imagination are two or the key ingredients for success in network marketing today. Therefore it is not really a big surprise, that network marketing creates big numbers if entrepreneurs in the century and age. We are in information age – an age where material facts, like “owning machine tools” and a factory or the like is no more the sole basis of entrepreneurship.

Knowledge, service, working with people, creating visions and helping others achieving them – these are among the up-to-date scenarios which create entrepreneurs.

Yes – in network marketing you need to have a tangible product around which the business is centered. But the product is not  the business it is the “tool” for the business, so to speak. The power of network marketing is in the intangible realm of communication.

It is the attraction between people that makes it possible to build trust founded on integrity´, and it is this element which is at the base of self development programs, self-help groups and many other intangible pathways of growth.

There is this saying:

”If you want more you have to become more”.

It is a tough lesson and it in fact is the lesson which makes the difference between having success in network marketing today and not having success.

Someone who thinks that it is possible to build a successful network marketing business by selling a product and by pitching the business opportunity on line is bound to fail if they resist  looking at the other aspects.

Wouldn’t it be great to be going out with your friends and when everybody is talking about their problems you’d find you could simply say positive things? You can let this happen right now. All it takes is to decide that you will stop telling “white lies” or half truths. This makes it uncomplicated for yourself to be open, emphatic and friendly. No need to resort to gruff ways any more. You will suddenly find it easy to speak up – let’s test this:

• Can you speak about your feelings in an easy way?
• Can you discuss with your partner what bothers you in your relationship?
• Can you simply listen to what your partner/business partner tells you?

Listen intently, in a loving way so that you get  the message of what is being said. This is the basis for any changes that might be required.

Becoming a better listener will give excellent results in any relationship – private as well as business. Especially when it comes to MLM listening becomes excessively important!

It seems to be the disorganised speed of life that caused the art of listening to become less and less important for too many people. Make it a priority to begin working on your listening skills at once. Be present in any conversation and don’t let yourself be distracted by the kids, the TV, your work or what so ever. If you are busy make sure the conversation can be re-scheduled to a more appropriate time.

The goal is to communicate your desires, wishes, goals, offers and to hear and absorb the message your partner/business partner is  conveying. You must be able to focus on the message. Listening is a very important factor when it comes to communication, but it is equally important to express also your thoughts.

People who are able to open up and communicate their thoughts, hopes and dreams are a lot opener. Females may be having a bit of an advantage when it comes to communication, whereas men may need to work on it a bit more and develop an awareness that will enable them to express themselves easier. Small talk and the right questions will be supportive in building a fruitful conversation. Adding the skills that facilitate transition to the right topics will be an extra benefit.

Communicate With Your Heart!

…oh, NO – not a love affair…………I am being serious YOU need to find your heart and finally see why we have it apart from the biological function it has in our body.

At all times in history the quality of the heart  showed up in society – in places like on this photograph an ancient tree where people go and write down their wishes on a slip of paper and put it in the string so that it may come true.   

IM000460 It reflects: “I wish with all my heart” and I hand it over to the higher power to handle it.

In a time where the rational mind is totally overrated and schools and universities have their focus on learning “the parrot way” too often this quality of listening to the heart was even ridiculed for decades and longer.

It is this shift in the quality of time which dawned many years back, which started to redirect the focus of people to their more subtle qualities, like acknowledging the gut feeling to say it the common way, which also permitted new developments in our society like the development of network marketing as a new industry with entirely different perspective. However, in a world of rational thinking and calculation it took a while until some understood what it is all about with this new industry.

Even 20 years and more back there were groups who had understood the power of thinking with the heart. They taught topics like: find your dream, live your vision, connect through the heart and I still remember that I was sitting at a seminar and wondered: “What the hell are they talking about”? I would have wanted to know more about the commission plan and how it should be presented correctly or to have detailed information about the products and how they could be sold – in fact I felt really alienated by what was going on. It took me years of failure until it finally started to dawn on me, that these people might have a clue how to do this business successfully.

In spite of all these years of failure I was still in this industry – I am not a quitter and I considered it a challenge. Having continuously watched people succeed who were normal people, with perhaps less education than I had – I simply had to figure it out!

To make you understand – I am a green personality – I want to know it all and precisely – what a predicament to be in when you are used to succeeding with your brains and now realise there are areas where it is of no practical use and it was a big “aha” moment when I finally realised and acknowledged that it is the heart quality in communication which makes all the difference.

I figured it out and eventually built a network marketing business successfully. It is this long stretch of digging and learning though, which has given me some insights which are worth while sharing.

Since this world and life are never at a stop of course and the age of the internet has changed this industry entirely, learning never stops and it is great to be in a group where you can draw from the knowledge of the most diverse people – internet savvies, communication experts, writers, top advertisers and more. You certainly need to learn from those who do it, as Michael Dlouhy, Richard Dennis and others.

It works so well as all of them have understood that communication from the heart makes the world go round, is the basis to create lasting friendships and help people achieve their goals but also their dreams.

Personality Colors and Communication

Communication is one of the vital factors of life and as such lots and lots is being written about it. There is a simple test to this fact – simply enter the word communication as a search word into Google and you will see the massive result!

Communication accompanies us from out first to our last breath. As a new born baby we communicate through sound – we cry when hungry or uncomfortable. Quickly the sound pattern becomes bigger and more diversified it is complemented by gesture until language comes in. Some aspects of communication are inherent and some are trained by example. It is this basic structure which remains in use for life even though it becomes more and more complex and involved.

Communication is the basis for interaction with others. At school, when getting trained for a job, at university, but also in private life, in the family, with relations, friends and people we simply happen to meet up. Yet communication is never trained systematically unless you are interacting professionally one way or other.

Communication as a result very often lacks sophistication. One aspect to which I want to draw attention today are the personality colours. Knowing about this facilitates communication on all levels.

Everyone knows that there are all sorts of people – quiet ones, loud ones, ones which socialize easily others who are shy. Looking at people from the point of view of personality colors is not so widely known and yet it proves so helpful.

Basically people can be split into open or self contained and indirect and direct. The 4 personality colours are yellow, blue, green and red. Yellows are open and indirect, blues open and direct, greens self contained and indirect and reds self contained and direct. This may sound a little complex but it can be cleared up easily in a training which offers also charts or description of charts.

Let me give you an example: Take a yellow person – as a rule they are nurses, teachers, helpers of any kind, in families they are the peacemakers. They will speak about their helping intentions but when asked a direct question, like “do you have children” they will be very short “yes”. Whereas a blue person will say “yes” and start telling you all the details of the beloved ones – blue ones are direct, remember?

This is a very short example of a personality color – each colour has specific characteristic and when you mind these in conversation and contact you can customize the information you hand out. another example give a red person, who is direct and self contained and very interested in money a detailed description of a business, tool or whatever they will run. The only thing that would interest them would be – how much money can I make respectively what’s it for.

Communication by customizing information to the type of personality you are dealing with is a definite advantage in personal as well as business life and especially in a business as Network Marketing, where the topic is building people.
