I hear the outcry of sales people and the red personalities who still believe that network marketing is a sales business.
They claim: that after all products need to be moved and as a result they focus on moving the product.
Yes, true, products need to be moved, but in a very different way.
Even in the normal market lots of products are being moved by recommendation. Everybody will tell friends and family if they have had a good deal on something – no matte if it was a film, a pair of shoes or a lovely meal or whatever.
‘This makes a lot of product turn over in the normal market a “relationship business” – people sharing what they like.
In this fast and impersonal world people are increasingly craving for relationships. It is an uneasy feeling to have to do things alone all the time. It makes you feel good to have someone to reflect, to have confirm what you are wondering, etc.
Therefore as a customer it is nice to have someone to talk to about a product you might want to buy. Some one where you have the feeling that they know what they are talking about and who perhaps makes you feel special because you chose what you did.
When you are lo9oking fro a business you all the more want to fee l safe and wanted, to have somebody beside you who will take your hand and support and help you in the alien territory of entrepreneurship,somebody who wants YOU because of who YOU are!
So no matter what – product or business – relationships count.
And in network marketing today relationships count all the more.
It is a business of:
- people joining people,
- training and supporting people,
- giving them incentive for personal development and growth.
